  The following introduces the test items that the pogo pin connectors independently developed and produced by CFE have to pass:

  1. Mechanical performance test of pogopin

  1. Contact retention force

  Measurement purpose: To evaluate the maximum axial force that the product can bear after the product is assembled into plastic, so as to avoid the phenomenon of PIN retreat caused by operation error during use.

  2. Product elasticity test (spring force)

  Measurement purpose: to measure product elasticity to verify product design and ensure product contact reliability.

  3. Durability test

  Measurement purpose: to evaluate the wear degree of the product's electroplating layer after a certain number of continuous operations, or the electrical and mechanical properties of the product before and after operation.

  4. Mechanical shock test (mechanical shock)

  Measurement purpose: to evaluate the impact of the product on the contact function of the product when it is subjected to sudden shocks during transportation or other factors.

  2. Pogopin electrical performance test

  1. Insulation resistance test (insulation resistance)

  Measurement purpose: to evaluate the leakage current status of the surface product of the insulating material of the connector after passing the DC voltage to determine the degree of insulation.

  2. Withstanding voltage test

  Measurement purpose: To evaluate the safety rated voltage of the connector and the safety of withstand transient impulse voltage, and then to evaluate whether the insulating material of the connector and the insulating interval of its composition are appropriate.

  3. Low power contact resistance test (low level contact resistance LLCR)

  Measurement purpose: To test the contact resistance of the terminal without destroying the oxide film on the surface of the terminal, as an overall evaluation of the connector.

  4. Temperature rise test

  Measurement purpose: To evaluate the rated current that the pogopin can carry, and its temperature rise shall not exceed the specified value within the specified time.
