Causes of connector corrosion

  During the production, transportation, and setting of solar panels, and due to their embrittlement, various common faults will be generated.

  After the solar power station funds are put into operation, some customers will report that there are solar power solar panels showing abnormal power generation information. The investigation did not find any abnormalities in the rechargeable battery module (power generation components) and the wiring terminals. Therefore, we investigated the closing cable and the radio frequency connector connected with the closing cable of the surrounding solar panels. A radio frequency connector is used to connect the solar panels. Erosion was found when investigating the closing cable and the RF connector. It was probably caused by immersion, and the wiring terminals of the cables and RF connectors were eroded. However, there is nothing unusual from the outside. After disassembling, check that the cables and terminals are eroded, and precipitation will seep into the package.

  So how does the erosion of the closing cable and the RF connector occur?

  The investigation found that it was caused by improper storage during construction. Therefore, it is mainly caused by improper storage of solar power generation solar panels during construction, so that the packaging products are soaked.

  Solar power solar panels are stacked on a backing board, and the two sides are covered with thick cardboard. When the solar power station received the goods, it covered a layer of dark blue epoxy resin tube material on the top of the packaging product, and placed it in the field for a long time; this determined that it would be exposed to the suburbs, and the precipitation would penetrate into the packaging from the tube material In the product, corrosion was caused. After tearing off the tube material, the thick cardboard on it had already rotted into mud, and there was water on the plastic film. Some of the packaging products have melted, and some are even stuck on the side panels of the solar panels.

  To prevent such common failures from happening, we must pay attention to the storage method of solar power solar panels after picking up the goods. Preventive measures such as setting up a moisture-proof cover on the RF connector should also be reasonable.
